Alleem Books Awards

The Alleem Books Awards is a celebration to promote the enjoyment of books and reading. Reading is not only a hobby but an essential habit to develop the intellectual field. Reading is a magical portal that lets people discover new realities. Each year, on 23 April, celebrations aim to encourage younger readers to love reading! At the awards’ event, we honor readers; who are doing exemplary and innovative works in order to promote reading.

Through reading, we can open ourselves to others despite the distance. We invite readers from around the world to express their love for reading, they can participate in this by fulfilling our nomination procedure to symbolize the power of books and encourage reading as much as possible.

Why Alleem Books Awards?

Many readers go unnoticed. You have a chance to nominate yourself and other readers for this award. Submit the name who should be recognized for his or her outstanding contributions to the community to unite in striving for universal literacy. Our Alleem Books team will select the final winner from the submissions. The winner will be announced on the World Book day, April 23, 2021.

We encourage you to share this positive message with others.

Why 23 April?

23 April is a symbolic date in world literature. It is the date on which several prominent authors, William Shakespeare, Miguel de Cervantes and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega all died. This date was a natural choice for UNESCO's General Conference, held in Paris in 1995, to pay a world-wide tribute to books and authors on this date, encouraging everyone to access books.
